Coffee is enjoyed all around the world by many different groups. The satisfying brew has become popular on every continent and is considered traditional in many parts of the world. However, the way that it is prepared varies greatly from country to country. From home brews to cafe specialties, the ways to enjoy coffee are endless.

In Vietnam, egg coffee (above) was developed after a milk shortage in 1947. In Turkey, coffee is made using small brass pots and hot sand to heat the coffee mixture. In Sweden, cheese is added to the coffee and acts like a sponge to soak up the dark liquid (below)!

In many places coffee isn’t just for the morning, as it is enjoyed all day long. In Ethiopia, considered the birthplace of coffee, the drink is part of elaborate coffee ceremonies that can take place several times per day.

Even if you aren’t a regular coffee drinker, it’s so interesting to discover how things are done around the world.
