Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

When you know that company is on the way to your home, there is a lot of cleaning that needs to be done. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, tidying up, it can feel like the list is absolutely endless. Our homes serve as an extension of our personalities and we want to feel good about ourselves, of course. Having a clean kitchen sink is key to that!

When it comes time to clean up a stainless steel sink, there’s one cleaning solution you may not thought try: using flour.

To get started, grab a rag and soak it in some hot, soapy water. Wipe the sink down so it’s as clean as possible.

Next, you’ll want to give the sink a good rinse and allow the sink to completely dry (seriously, it needs to be DRY!).

Then, take some baking flour and sprinkle it on the bottom and sides of the sink. Use a clean, dry cloth to buff the flour in circular motions.

Once you are done with this step, it is time to get the flour out of the sink. You can use a rag to wipe the flour up or use a handheld vacuum.

These steps will have your sink looking like brand new, so be sure to share them with all of the stainless sink owners in your life. We love simple hacks like these that keep our homes looking as elegant as possible.
