Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Undoubtedly, we live in a connected world, and it isn’t easy to find any time when we are not looking at our phones, computers, or tablets. That is, of course, unless you visit a café that doesn’t offer Wi-Fi.

You might think it is not easy to find such a café, but one woman seems to have found one and even posted a picture of the discovery on her Facebook page.

The photo was of a sign outside the café that read: “We do not have Wi-Fi. Talk to each other. Pretend it’s 1995.”

This may be a rather interesting switch from the typical cafés that try to give you the fastest Wi-Fi possible. It also sparked a debate over whether it was a good idea or a bad one.

Regardless of which side of the debate people happened to be on, there was no doubt that they were passionate about their ideas. The post was shared over 250,000 times, and more than 23,000 people commented on it.

Some people who favored the idea would reminisce about the “good old days.” In their estimation, it was a good idea to enjoy sitting with friends and talking to each other rather than being on your phone.

Other people were not only in the negative column; they were adamant that they would not visit the café. They aren’t necessarily saying they would want to be on their phone, but they did want the option.

I guess this is always going to be a debate but one thing is certain, Wi-Fi or no Wi-Fi, people are going to have an opinion.
