Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Dawson’s Creek starlet Busy Philips is here to give us some helpful pointers when it comes to making the always classic Bloody Mary.

If you are someone who enjoys an AM adult beverage from time to time, the Bloody Mary and the mimosa run neck and neck at the top of that pecking order. We’d lean to the Bloody Mary ourselves, if we are being quite honest here.

Rao’s Homemade shared Busy’s twist on the Bloody Mary on its Instagram page, and it’s quite unique!

The secret ingredient that she has come up with here is sure to leave you stunned. We know that we are quite surprised by it ourselves but maybe some of you have heard of this one before? Either way, you are definitely going to want to check this one out for yourself.

This cocktail recipe is sure to have you drooling, and best of all, it is for one of the best causes that we have come across recently. Philipps has formed a partnership with the good folks at Rao’s Homemade, to raise money for their second annual #SauceForCause fundraiser.

She did an Instagram Live Cooking series to collect money for the Jersey Cares nonprofit organization. They are using the proceeds to assist those who are in need of COVID-19 relief funding. The marinara brand has pledged to provide a donation of $100,000 to Jersey Cares as part of the program so these drinks are being made with all of the best reasons in mind.

We were stunned to find out that Philipps’s Bloody Mary recipe includes this sauce but it makes sense in retrospect. As with any other Bloody Mary that you have the chance to drink, you’ll need to add some Worcestershire sauce, a dash of horseradish, and a splash of hot sauce. It’s really that easy, we promise you. When it comes to beverages like these, we know what we are talking about!

All jokes aside, be sure to share this awesome recipe and boost awareness of this awesome fundraiser. It’s not every day that you get to make yourself a drink and feel like a hero at the same time.
