It doesn’t matter where you were, there are always going to be things to complain about. Some of them may be rather trivial but at other times, they can be a real dealbreaker.

That is what some employees are experiencing after their boss decided to post a memo that essentially punishes them for being only one minute late. The employees were quite upset over it and many people had something to say once it was posted on the Internet.

A post was made on Reddit that was captioned: “Shout out the worst place I ever worked (minimum wage, of course).” It then went on to show a picture of the memo, which many people found infuriating.

According to the sign: “New office rule: For every minute you are late for work, you will be required to work for 10 minutes after 6 pm. For example, if you arrive at 10:02, you will have to stay an extra 20 minutes until 6:20pm. Thanks.”T

When they posted the picture online, I’m sure that they were expecting people to be up in arms and joining in the revolt that they no doubt were forming. What they got, however, was a mixture of replies, with some being what they were not expecting.

There were some people who not only said it was stupid, they said it was likely illegal. Others were so upset they would tell the boss that they quit on the spot.

Then again, there were others who agreed with the boss and said that lateness is something that should not be tolerated. They pointed out the fact that it’s not difficult to show up for work on time and many people show up a few minutes early, just to be certain.
