Big. Mac. Tater. Tot. Casserole. Oh, yes, we did! Is this recipe over the top? Absolutely. Is it worth the occasional indulgence? Most definitely! With juicy ground beef, crispy tater tots, creamy Big Mac sauce, and lots of cheese, what’s not to love? Add in pickles, onions, garlic, and a few other spices, and you’ve got a meal that everyone is sure to love.
Seriously, how delicious does this look? Trust me, it tastes even better! If you’re looking for a twist on classic comfort food, this is the recipe for you.
To get this decadent meal started, preheat the oven to 400F. Grease a 9×13 pan and set it aside. Then, place ground beef and butter in a large skillet. Cook on medium-high, crumbling the ground beef as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
Next, add Thousand Island dressing, mayo, diced onion, diced dill pickle, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the pan with the beef. Stir until all of the ingredients are fully combined.
This mixture may look a little questionable, but stick with me! Pour the ground beef mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle both kinds of cheese on top, followed by a single layer of tater tots. Bake 40-45 minutes or until tots are golden-brown. Once done, sprinkle lettuce on top, followed by a drizzle of Thousand Island Dressing.
Serve up this dish nice and warm and watch it disappear before your eyes! Seriously, this stuff is that good. Go ahead and find the full ingredient list and recipe below!
