Most people don’t need a reason to drink coffee, aside from the fact that it wakes them up and they love the taste. What you may not be aware of, however, is that coffee actually has many health benefits.

Although most people tend to think about coffee as a crutch and may associate it with health problems, the news isn’t all bad.

According to some studies, it can regulate blood sugar and the Mayo Clinic reports that it may even help protect you from type II diabetes.

Other health problems may also be held at bay when you drink coffee. Some studies show that coffee can reduce liver cancer risks significantly and may even reduce your chances of having Parkinson’s disease.

If that wasn’t enough, you may be protected against heart failure by drinking up to 4 cups of coffee per day. If you tip the scale and go to 5 cups, however, the benefit seems to be lost.

In other words, enjoy your morning cup of coffee and perhaps even a 2nd cup! Science has your back.
