One of the best parts of Thanksgiving dinner is the side dishes. There’s always something savory but there’s also something sweet. Eileen Hamilton submitted her baked savory-sweet side dish to our 2021 Thanksgiving Sides Recipe contest. This dish is made with those familiar fruity flavors of thanksgiving, apples, cranberries, and raisins. It gets delicious flavor and texture from the addition of warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, and nuttiness from walnuts. As Eileen describes, her baked spiced apples and berries are a “wonderful complement to a holiday dinner.”
