The holiday season is here and that means lots of parties and get-togethers! From the family Thanksgiving dinner to the secret santa gift exchange with my girlfriends, our calendar is packed this time of year. So, when I need to bring a dish to share, quick and easy recipes are the way to go… like this Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip. A few simple ingredients come together to create a dip that is truly a showstopper. One bite and everyone is sure to be asking for the recipe. Let’s get into how it’s made.
As you probably guessed, the base of the dip is cream cheese. You’ll whip two full blocks of it until fully smooth then add in some seasoning. I like to go with rosemary for a hint of heartiness and a pinch of garlic powder. If you’re a fan of nutmeg, that can also be a tasty addition. Next up will be the shredded mozzarella cheese. Add 2 cups at this stage and save 1 cup for sprinkling on the top! Last but not least, the cranberries. I keep it super simple by using canned whole berry cranberry sauce (you’re welcome to use homemade if you have it on hand!) and a handful of fresh cranberries for a little pop.
Sprinkle on the remaining cheese on top and pop the dish in the oven for about 25 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when it’s bubbling and the edges of the dip are turning golden in color. Dig in while it’s still all melty and hot for the best results. This dip is perfect for Christmas Eve gatherings, New Year’s parties, or a cozy night at home. No matter how you serve it, this Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip is bound to bring a little extra cheer to your holiday table.
