Radium Products
The radioactive element radium was once considered a novelty and a health aid. From the early 1900s into the ’50s, radium was touted as a wonder element and used as a selling point for a wide array of items. While in some cases the products marketed with radium contained little to no actual radium, in other cases the products were dangerous.
There are collectors who focus on the beauty items, while others seek out watches and instruments painted with radium to make them glow in the dark.
