Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

It’s no secret that we love pretty much all things chocolate. Who doesn’t? Chocolate goes with pretty much anything – berries, peanut butter, marshmallows, even potato chips! In honor of national chocolate day, July 7th, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite over the top chocolate desserts!

Copycat Disneyland Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwiches

These sandwiches were a popular Disneyland treat, always found in Pooh’s Corner and in most of the candy shops throughout the park. Then, for some inexplicable reason, they were discontinued. But suddenly, hope was restored! They were brought back for a trial run and we innocently thought that meant they were here to stay, forever and always. But no, it was too good to be true. They were discontinued again.

We don’t know about you, but we don’t want to live an entire lifetime without this magical bar made up of graham crackers, peanut butter, and chocolate. And luckily we don’t have to. Because they’re easy enough to make at home. Get the recipe here!

Potato Chip Cookies

Regardless if you are 6 years old or 60 years old, there is nothing better than a homemade super soft chocolate chip cookie. I remember making these exact cookies with my own mom years ago. Ok confession… I maybe made them last week minus the potato chips. Yes, I said potato chips! Honestly, I thought it was a bit unusual at first but I mean, sweet and salty is all the rage nowadays. Chocolate Banoffee Poke Cake

Banoffee pie is a thing that people seem to either love or hate, and we are definitely of the former opinion. Bananas, toffee, and cream (and we like ours with chocolate)… yum. What’s not to like about that combo? We’re also of the opinion that poke cakes are the perfect vehicle for fun flavor combinations and a banoffee version seemed like it would work perfectly. And it did. We love this cake! Get the recipe here!

Chocolate Cheesecake Lasagna

Traditional lasagna is great but dessert lasagna might be even better. Layers upon layers of different sweet flavors like a crunchy pecan crust, the slight tang of cheesecake, and cool vanilla and chocolate puddings make this one impressive stratified confection. It’s creamy, it’s crunchy, it’s cool, and it’s chocolatey – this Chocolate Cheesecake Lasagna has really got it all. Get the recipe here!

Church Window Cookies

If you’re looking for a cookie that’s unlike all the others – in terms of both appearance and flavor – then you definitely need to try out these church window cookies. While they could also be referred to (lovingly) as Grandma’s Candy Bowl Cookies, just based on everything that’s in them, it’s easy to see why they’re called church window cookies; those adorable mini marshmallows give the desired effect of stained glass windows…(and they make the cookies surprisingly light and airy). Creamy Chocolate Oasis Pie

We don’t discriminate when it comes to dessert, as you know, but we do have a special place in our hearts for all things chocolate. It seems like there are always so many options out there (regarding rich, decadent, chocolatey desserts), that we always want to try out new ones while still making time to make our tried-and-true favorites…such a tough time deciding what to make! Lucky for you, we’ve got the richest, easiest, most perfectly balanced chocolate confection for you today – you can try something new out and create a new family staple – you’re going to love it!
