Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

We all have that one thing we just can’t get enough of when going out to our favorite restaurants. Whether it’s Red Lobster’s cheddar biscuits, Texas Roadhouse’s cinnamon butter, Starbucks’ lemon loaf, or a huge cup of good old Orange Julius – when you crave something, you just gotta have it! Unfortunately going out all the time can be expensive, not to mention hard on the waistline. We have a few restaurant-inspired recipes that just might help in that department! Read on to find our favorite tried-and-true copycat recipes.

Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana Soup

Filled to the brim with tasty Italian sausage and kale, this soup is creamy, super flavorful and to top it all off, easy to make! Plus, you get a lovely added texture and crunch if you decide to garnish it all with bacon–you’ve got a bunch of kale in there (literally), so why not go a little crazy with the bacon. Get the full recipe here!

Starbucks’ Lemon Loaf

We’ve got the recipe that we think most closely matches Starbucks citrusy loaf… it’s bright and zesty and the icing (our favorite part) ties everything together and has us licking our lips and reaching for another slice. Get the incredible recipe here!

Red Lobster’s Cheddar Biscuits

Ever tried those addictive cheddar biscuit with a meal at Red Lobster? These muffins will be right up your alley– they’re made to taste just like those ones you gobble up at the restaurant! Get the delicious recipe here!

Outback Potatoes

It’s crazy how something so simple could result in something so utterly delicious, but that’s exactly what Outback does with their baked potatoes to keep you coming back for more. Would you believe there are only 3 ingredients in this recipe? Check out the full instructions here!

Orange Julius

The Orange Julius is an American classic that originated in Los Angeles in the 1920s at your average, run of the mill orange juice stand. It became so popular that it became its own, freestanding chain, specializing in this perfectly sweet and tart, frothy drink. If you haven’t tried one before, you should absolutely whip this up! Olive Garden’s Gnocci Soup

We absolutely love creating copycat versions of our favorite dishes we can enjoy at home, and this gnocchi soup is no exception! It’s loaded with fluffy little dumplings, juicy chicken, and plenty of veggies, swimming in a decadent, velvety-rich broth. Get the mouth-watering recipe here!

Cheesecake Factory’s Sun-Dried Tomato Fettuccine

After a particularly tasty dinner at the old factory, we came home and decided to try our hand at recreating one of our favorites: the sun-dried tomato fettuccine. And let us just say–we were pretty impressed with the results and you will be too! Get the easy recipe here!

Rudy’s Creamed Corn

We’ve got a soft spot for creamed corn and we’re not afraid to show it. It’s deliciously sweet and rich, all while maintaining a delicious lightness from the pops of the corn kernels. While we love a variety of versions, it’s Rudy’s creamed corn that gets us every time… so much so, in fact, that we had to try out making it ourselves! Get the full recipe here!

Texas Roadhouse’s Cinnamon Honey Butter

If you’ve ever been to Texas Roadhouse then you know they’re on to something with their fluffy, candy-like spread. After a bit of experimentation, we’re happy to say that we’ve perfected our copycat version of their famous cinnamon honey butter. You probably have all of the ingredients on hand! Get the full recipe here.

KFC’s Flakey Biscuits

While we love indulging in the chicken from KFC, it’s the biscuits that are the real M.V.P.s. There’s something about their perfect buttery flakiness that gets us giddy with excitement as we drive over, and it’s really all we can do to not hoard all the biscuits to ourselves and eat them in the corner, all while fending off our hungry family members. To avoid that scenario, get the full recipe here!
