It was announced today that Kraft Heinz Food Company is recalling a lotof their turkey bacon products…2,068,467 pounds of it, in fact.
Due to spoilage before the expiration date, Oscar Mayer’s “Selects Uncured Turkey Bacon”and “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed”(of varying sizes) are all getting recalled – the result of an investigation into customer complaints – though there have been no health-related cases reported as of yet.
Ruled a “Class II” recall, the U.S. Department of Agriculture deems this “a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product”.
