Lighting incense is a great way to give a room some energy — whether it's peaceful, lively, delicate or something in between! Did you know you can actually make a smudge stick — a.k.a. incense bundle — yourself using your favorite herbs and flowers? A few great options are herbs like sage and rosemary, or other fragrant plants like lavender, rose petals, juniper and lemongrass. Tie the base of the herbs together using natural cotton string, and then wrap the bundle tightly, working upwards and around. Hang to dry for 2-4 weeks. Once fully dried, light one end and walk around the house to spread the good vibes.

Peace lilies, palms, aloe plants and ferns are excellent, low-maintenance options. Why not put one in every room?
