Cooking the perfect steak is an art form, but these geologists from Syracuse University took it to the next level. Tired of boring charcoal grilling? Watch as the intrepid scientists use molten lava to cook what one of them described as “the best steak he’d ever eaten.” The exercise was part of the university’s Lava Project and saw the team achieve a smokeless, even char at a temperature of over 1,300 degrees Farenheit.
