3. Roast Garlic

Cut off the tops of a head of garlic. Put the garlic on a plate with a spoonful of water, the drizzle with olive oil and desired spices. Cover the garlic and the plate with plastic wrap and microwave for around seven minutes. Let the garlic cool for a moment and you’ve got delicious, buttery garlic cloves.

4. Soften Brown Sugar

If your brown sugar has gone hard on you, simply add a couple of drops of water and place it in the microwave in the plastic packaging. Heat for 30 seconds to a minute, and your sugar should be soft and spoon-able again.

5. Get Extra Juice From Lemons

When juicing lemons, pop each fruit into the microwave for 30 seconds before squeezing. The heat helps to release the juice and soften the pulp, making it easier to get every drop of juice.

6. Peel Onions

Place your onion on a microwave-safe plate and heat for one or two minutes. The skin should come right off without the need for a knife.
