Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Upon hearing that Cracker Barrel was recalling a popular item, it would be understandable to expect the recall to be food-related, but this is, in fact, one of their home decor products: the Driftwood Pineapple.

With the base of the fruit made of driftwood and leaves made of spiked, galvanized metal pieces, this product “may pose a potential safety concern.” While the driftwood portion of the fruit has not been deemed a threat, the “metal leaves on top of pineapple may be sharp and cause a cut.” This product, with a SKU number of 625184, was sold for $40 between June and August of 2018, and roughly 1500 units were sold.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission report, there have been two reported injuries so far, with one requiring stitches, resulting in the voluntary recall. Product may be returned to any Cracker Barrel Old Home Store for a full refund and those with more questions can call 1-800-333-9566.
