Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

To bake or not to bake, that is the question. The answer is: do both! We love to bake. There’s something just so indulgent and comforting about a cake or warm pie that comes out of the oven. Our kitchen smells amazing and we get to sink our forks into something sweet and delicious. As much as we love to bake, we also have some amazing recipes for no-bake treats and delights. The oven isn’t the only device in our kitchen capable of making some pretty amazing desserts!

Skip the oven and do some “baking” in the refrigerator. It’s a perfect place to “bake,” especially in the summer months, when the last thing we want is to heat up our kitchen with a hot oven. These no-bake recipes are not limited to June, July, and August. Each one of these recipes is perfect to make (and eat) at any time of the year. Take a look!

Banana Split Icebox Cake

Without further ado, we give you the banana split icebox cake. This bad boy is packed with the same classic flavors (thanks to vanilla pudding mix and frozen whipped topping), and full of bananas. We topped everything off with hot fudge, walnuts, sprinkles, and cherries, just as you would the traditional banana split, so the finished result is a cool and delicious cake that brings back all those childhood memories – all while being a breeze to whip up and serve to a group. Boston Cream Icebox Cake

We love to create recipes that look fancy but are super easy to make, and they really are the perfect way to wow friends and family with minimal effort. Our latest showstopper is an icebox cake inspired by the flavors of Boston cream pie – it looks super pretty and tastes ahhmazing! So much cool and creamy goodness is hidden below a thick layer of chocolate – yum!

This recipe is virtually foolproof, and easy ingredients like pudding and graham crackers make it fun for little ones to help with. It’s nice to whip up a homemade dessert without having to turn on the oven. Take a closer look at the recipe here.

Coconut Cream Icebox Cake

There’s something so special to us about coconut cream pie. It’s unclear what it is specifically about that sweet and creamy dessert, but it brings back great childhood memories and always puts a smile on our faces. Cool coconut cream is luxurious and decadent, and definitely not limited to a particular season. You’ve got to give this a try! Click here for the recipe.
