Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Everyone has their tried and true cookie recipes that they come back to again and again, making them at least once a year when the season calls for it, but what about those occasions when we want to make something a little different? Instead of chocolate chip, peanut butter or oatmeal raisin, we’ve got a plethora of cookie recipes that are more off the beaten path…here are four of our favorites!

Chewy Butter Pecan Cookies

These cookies, since we baked them for the first time, have easily become one of our top go-tos. They’re packed with flavor and you can make them as thick and ooey-gooey or as crispy as you want – you can’t go wrong! Regardless of when you make these, just make sure you do. You’ll be hooked before they’re even baked (we know you sneak just as much cookie dough as we do!) and you’ll want to make them again and again. The sooner you accept that the better – more cookies for everyone! Get the recipe here!

Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cloud Cookies

We’ve got a way to capture a little piece of heaven and bring it down to earth (and into our ovens). Puffy, almost meringue-like cookies that are light and airy, and don’t let their dark color make you feel stormy – these fluffy puffs are filled with sweet chocolate drops (in the form of chocolate chips) and cocoa powder, ingredients that are guaranteed to chase the metaphorical clouds away. If you’ve not had these before, then you’re in for a real treat! Click here for the recipe!

Maraschino Chocolate Cherry Cookies

These maraschino chocolate cherry cookies are absolutely adorable – they’re pink! – and they taste just as good as they look. If the name didn’t give it away, we packed each cookie full of chocolate chips, chewy maraschino cherry pieces (and cherry juice), and vanilla and almond extract for added flavor. They’ve got a surprising lightness to them, especially considering how much is stuffed inside ‘em, and they strike the perfect balance in regards to sweetness…just the right amount without being cloying. Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies

Instead of a classic cheesecake or a seasonal twist on said classic, we decided to stray a bit further from the traditional version and make a batch of cheesecake cookies to satiate the craving instead. If you haven’t tried your hand at a cookie-cheesecake hybrid then, first of all, stop what you’re doing right now and prepare to have your mind blown. These are cloud-like, light, fluffy, cakey cookies that have the perfect tang from the cream cheese and that really do taste like cheesecake. Remarkable. Click here for the recipe!
